Many people have product codes importing into Excel and then prepare reports but many times Excel does not work with the numbers. In Excel 2010 there is a button on the Data Tab to "remove duplicates" (maybe a good ideas to copy the original list and compare). This can also be done in Excel 2007 or Excel 2003 - select the list and use Data - Filter - Advanced filter, this gives a dialogue box that you can copy the list to a new location and at the bottom is the check box "unique values only" (no filter is applied). many more topics at:
